This six quart cast iron Dutch oven from Lodge is great for slow-cooking chicken stew, minestrone and chili. The superior heat retention of the ironware reduces the amount of energy needed for cooking. This cast iron Dutch oven is prepared by hand using individual sand molds before applying two layers of heavy-duty enamel. The cookware has an attractive island spice red finish set off by a cream colored interior. The pot’s smooth porcelain skin creates a natural non-stick surface for easy clean-up and eliminates the need to season the pan. A tight-fitting lid is included to lock in heat, moisture and nutrients.
